Moving Out?

Wild Rice Electric Cooperative Disconnection/Transfer of Existing Electric Service

Use this form if you are moving OUT of a location currently served by Wild Rice Electric and wish to disconnect your electric service or transfer to someone moving in.

If you move or sell the property, please be sure to contact the cooperative with your updated mailing address. This ensures you will receive any future capital credit payments, as they are mailed to the most recent address we have on file.

Wild Rice Electric Cooperative Application for Electric Service (Existing Location)

To transfer the electric billing of a service you are moving INTO, please submit the application below. (If you are unsure if the location you're moving into is served by Wild Rice Electric Cooperative, please contact our office at 1-800-244-5709.)

Step 1: service historyIf YES, please provide full name used previously (include maiden name if previously used):If NO, please continue with creating a new account.Step 2: membership typeSingle Account Holder: Capital credits are earned by cooperative members based on their electricity usage and represent their ownership interest in the cooperative. Upon the death of the primary account holder, the spouse or the estate’s authorized representative(s) may request a payout of the accumulated capital credits. Under a single membership, only the primary account holder’s signature is required. A spouse or significant other may be listed as a contact for communication purposes only and will not have ownership or voting rights on the account.)Joint Membership: A joint membership allows individuals such as spouses, significant others, or roommates to share equal ownership of the account. All members’ names will appear on the bill, and each will have full access to account information and share equally in the accumulation of capital credits. Upon the death of one joint member, the surviving member(s) retains full ownership of the account and all associated capital credits. Only upon the death of joint members may the authorized estate representative(s) request a payout of the remaining capital credits.
